Now offering Mobile Massage Therapy

As a massage therapy student at the Soma Institute in Chicago, I am currently offering complimentary relaxation and wellness-based in-home Swedish massage as part of my clinical training. These sessions are focused on general stress relief, calming the nervous system, and providing a grounding, supportive experience.

While I am learning a wide range of clinical techniques—including sports massage, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, facial techniques, and hydrotherapy—I am not yet licensed to treat specific health conditions. Once I receive my license in Spring of 2026, I will be able to offer more targeted, therapeutic work for musculoskeletal imbalances and chronic conditions.

For now, all sessions are grounding, non-clinical, and offered free of charge for practice.

About Melody

I’m a clinical massage therapy student at the Soma Institute in Chicago, training in Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, facial techniques, lymphatic drainage, and more. Currently, I am offering full-body relaxation Swedish massages to help build my skills. I am also certified in Reiki Level 2 and offer Reiki either as a standalone treatment or integrated into a massage session to support deeper relaxation and energetic balance.

My path to massage began through my own experience with chronic pain, illness, and stress. Massage helped me reconnect with my body and find real relief, and now I’m learning how to offer that same care to others.

My future practice will focus on supporting those with chronic pain, stress, past trauma, or who experience body tension as part of their neurodivergent experience. I believe massage can be more than a wellness tune-up — it can be a grounding, healing experience. I’m committed to creating a space where every client feels safe, respected, and seen.

FAQs

  • I ask that you practice good hydration and hygiene practices ahead of our session.

All bodies are welcome on my table—hairy, smooth, big, small, scarred, stretched, or soft—you're cared for exactly as you are.

  • I’ll arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to set up and 15 minutes afterward to pack up. I bring everything needed for your session, including a massage table, linens, and supplies.

Please have a quiet, private space cleared in advance—at least 8 by 10 feet with no obstacles—where I can safely set up the massage table. I do not practice on beds or couches. Pets must be secured, and I do not provide massage in smoking environments or spaces with strong odors.

Before we begin, we’ll have a brief conversation about your comfort, history, and session goals. Then, you’ll receive a Swedish massage focused on relaxation and general wellness.

For safety and quality of care, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are not suitable.

  • It's normal to feel a range of sensations after a massage—many people experience deep relaxation, lightness, or increased body awareness. You may also feel a little tired or emotionally tender, especially if your body has been holding onto tension for a long time. Drinking water, resting, and listening to your body afterward can help support the benefits of your session.

  • Yes! While I am still in school, I cannot charge for my services. No hidden required fees.

When I receive my license in the spring of 2026, I will be moving to a paid service model that also incorporates sliding scale pricing.

  • Tips are NOT required or a requirement of booking. If you are pleased with the session I give you, if you decide to donate to me, it would be appreciated.

  • For the health, safety, and comfort of all clients, as well as the protection of my equipment, I reserve the right to decline or postpone a massage session under the following conditions:

    • Uncontrolled hypertension

    • Severe undiagnosed headaches in individuals over the age of 50

    • Active fever or signs of systemic illness

    • Deep Vein Thrombosis

    • Recent or acute injury that may be aggravated by massage

    • Contagious skin lesions or infections

    • Unsanitary home environment that may pose a risk to equipment or hygiene standards

    • Homes with active indoor smoking to protect equipment and ensure a safe environment for all clients

If you’re unsure whether your condition or space is appropriate for a session, please reach out prior to your appointment. Your safety—and mine—comes first.

  • I currently offer mobile massage therapy within Chicago’s city limits. If you're located outside this area, feel free to reach out—I’ll do my best to accommodate or refer you to someone nearby.

  • Clients may choose between jojoba oil or Bio-Tone Advanced Therapy Massage Lotion during their session.

Jojoba oil is a gentle, hypoallergenic oil. It absorbs easily without leaving a greasy feel, making it ideal for all skin types—including sensitive or acne-prone skin. Rich in vitamins E and B, jojoba oil helps nourish the skin, reduce dryness, and support a smooth, soothing massage experience.

The Bio-Tone lotion that I use contains the following ingredients:

Water, Octyl Palmitate, Canola Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF, Dimethicone, Apricot Kernel Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Carbomer, TEA, Sesame Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil.

If you have any known allergies or sensitivities—especially to nuts, seeds, or botanicals—please let me know before your session so I can make the appropriate accommodations.

  • I felt really heard and cared for. Melody released some tension from a rough week and I finally feel like I got a reset.

    Shannon L.

  • Melody's practice is incredible; every movement feels wonderfully intentional and relaxing.

    Robert G.

  • I love that Melody listened to my needs. Rather than being one-size-fits-all, she tailored my treatment to relieve issues I was facing with chronic pain.
